This is Where WE Begin

Heyyy Sis,

I’m sitting here writing on this rainy day—the kind that makes you slow down and notice the smell of wet earth and the quiet rhythm of drops on the window.

Sometimes, in moments like this, I catch glimpses of a softer, calmer place in my mind—a secret world that feels more peaceful than the everyday around me. But just as quickly as it comes, it slips away before I can hold onto it.

Do you ever have moments like that? When time slows, and you see a different version of yourself—maybe a future you, or an alternate you trying to get your attention? Maybe that’s the real you trying to speak.

I’m writing to you because I want to build something real, a community of Black women who show up for themselves in every way. REAL healing. Whole self-care.

Intentionality. Discipline. Compassion. Sisterhood. Honesty. Integrity. Love. Respect. Creativity. Spirituality. Femininity. Black advancement.

These words poured out of me, I don’t know why, but here they are. I believe a space, a community like this, is needed. So many of us are sharing similar experiences.

I want Boquet to be your safe space, the kind that feels like a garden where nothing’s biting, buzzing, or rushing you.

I have so much more to share, but for now, I’ll just say this: Keep showing up for yourself. Every time you do, it’s a well manicured middle finger to the man, the system, and anything else that tries to keep you small. And if you haven’t been showing up for yourself lately, let this be your reminder: Start now. It’s not too late. You deserve it. I know you do.

Let’s choose ourselves-with care, honesty, and love.

Let’s get one step closer to becoming the version of ourselves that keeps tapping us on the shoulder in the quiet moments.

She’s not a fantasy. She’s a map.

And we’re already on the right path.

Stay tuned for resources, encouragement, and honest conversations about real self-care, whole self-care that meets us where we are.

Over time, I hope Boquet grows into a true sisterhood where we support each other with our time, talents, and truths.

This is just the beginning.

I’m showing up.

I hope you’ll join me.

Until next time,

Bo
