An Exercise to Slow You Down
Scroll up to the picture and take 10-15 seconds to gaze at the image. Then engage with the following prompts.
Imagine you’re passing through this scene, take a slow breath before each question (inhaling deeply through your nose and exhaling out of your mouth). Close your eyes (or lower your gaze) and let your mind wander gently:
Notice the air around you — what does it smell like?
Listen closely — what sounds are moving through this space?
Feel the air on your skin — what’s the temperature, and how does it rest against you?
Picture yourself dressed for the moment — what cozy layers, textures, or accessories are you wearing here?
Imagine you’re on a road trip — what snack would bring you comfort as you pass through this place?
Just around the bend, what do you sense or expect you might see?
